Auto Botix SIM800L GPRS GSM Module Core Board is a compact and powerful cellular communication module designed for embedded, IoT, and remote monitoring applications. Based on the highly reliable SIM800L chipset, this module supports quad-band GSM/GPRS connectivity, enabling global operation for voice calls, SMS messaging, and packet data transmission. With its TTL serial interface, the module easily integrates with popular microcontrollers such as Arduino, ESP32, STM32, PIC, and Raspberry Pi (via level shifting). Its small footprint, low power consumption, and onboard antenna make it ideal for space-constrained wireless projects. 🔹 Key Features ✅ Quad-band GSM/GPRS support (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) ✅ Supports voice, SMS, and GPRS data ✅ Compact SIM800L core module ✅ TTL UART serial communication ✅ Onboard antenna included ✅ Low power sleep mode ✅ AT command control ✅ Wide microcontroller compatibility ✅ Suitable for IoT and remote monitoring 🔹 Technical Specifications Model: SIM800L Core Board Frequency Bands: Quad-band GSM 850 MHz EGSM 900 MHz DCS 1800 MHz PCS 1900 MHz Supply Voltage: 3.4V 4.4V DC (recommended 4.0V) Peak Current: up to 2A during transmission bursts Communication Interface: UART (TTL Serial) Default Baud Rate: 9600 bps (auto-baud supported) GPRS Class: Class 12 Operating Temperature: 40 C to +85 C SIM Card: Micro SIM supported Antenna: External antenna included ⚠️ Important: The module requires a stable high-current power supply. Using a weak 5V regulator or Arduino 5V pin may cause random resets. 🔹 How It Works The SIM800L module connects to the GSM network using a SIM card. Once powered: The module registers on the cellular network. It communicates with the microcontroller via UART. Commands are sent using standard AT commands. The module performs actions like: Sending SMS Making/receiving calls Uploading data via GPRS This makes it a complete wireless communication solution for remote systems. 🔹 Pin Configuration (Typical) VCC 3.4 4.4V power input GND Ground TXD Serial transmit (connect to MCU RX) RXD Serial receive (connect to MCU TX) RST Reset pin NET Network status indicator ANT Antenna connector 🔹 Applications 📡 IoT and M2M communication 🚨 SMS alert systems 🏠 Home automation with cellular control 🚗 Vehicle tracking systems ⚡ Energy meter remote monitoring 🌾 Agriculture monitoring systems 🏭 Industrial telemetry 📟 Remote data logging.
