Bypass Surgery is a type of heart surgery which is also called as Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG). This surgery improves the flow of the blood to your heart by creating a new route or bypass around the section of your blocked artery. In this procedure, a section of vein from the leg, or an artery from your chest or forearm is used. This restores the flow of blood to your heart muscle. Causes The blockages in the arteries grow with the deposition of fat. This process is called as Artherosclerosis. These blockages obstruct the free flow of the blood to the various parts of the heart leading to severe chest pain (known as angina) or a heart attack in the later stages. Indications Severe chest pain even during light exercise or at restOne or more coronary arteries are diseased and left ventricle (commonly known as heart s main pump) is not functioning properly.Left main coronary artery, which supplies blood to the left ventricle is severely narrowed or blocked.Artery blockage for which angioplasty isn t appropriate or you have had a previous angioplasty or stent placement that hasn t been successful, or you have had an angioplasty but the artery has narrowed again Procedure You will be admitted in the hospital a day prior to the surgery. You will undergo a series of tests such as routine blood tests, ECG, a Chest X-ray and an angiography. All these tests are performed so that our medical team can get a clear picture of your health status. If you have the habit of smoking then you need to quit it atleast 2-3 weeks before the surgery. On the day of the surgery, you are required to be empty stomach. You will be given anaesthesia for a painless procedure. During the surgery a heart-lung machine will ensure blood flow through your body while your heart is stopped for some time. A long piece of vein or an artery (called as graft) is taken from the leg or chest wall or the forearm. One end of the graft is attached to the ascending aorta and other end is attached to a coronary artery below the blockage. The time taken for this procedure is usually varies between 2-6 hours depending upon the number of bypasses needed. New techniques in Bypass Surgery The latest advancement and new techniques are followed at our network hospitals. These techniques help to reduce the need for large incisions or a heart-lung machine. The patients are benefited with shorter hospital stay, quick recovery, less chances of infection, less blood loss etc. Some of the routinely performed new techniques at our network hospitals are: Off-pump or beating-heart surgery: In this type of bypass surgery a heart- lung machine is not used. Hence procedure is also called as called Off Pump Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery (OPCAB). This procedure allows surgery to be done on the still-beating heart using special equipment to stabilize the area of the heart on which the procedure is performed.Off-pump bypass surgery has proven to reduce side effects in certain types of patients.Minimally Invasive Surgery: In this procedure, a surgeon performs coronary bypass through several smaller incisions in the chest. This technique is used only when certain conditions exist. If multiple coronary arteries need to be worked on, it is best to use a conventional approach. Variations of minimally invasive surgery are called port-access or key-hole surgery After Surgery Once the surgery is completed, you would be taken to an Intensive Care Unit (ICU), where you would be kept under observation for 1-3 days. You may discharged form thee hospital after 7-8 days. After the surgery you need to make some lifestyle changes like having diet with low fat and cholesterol, regular exercises etc.

In this surgery, in the section of the blood vessel artificial tubes are placed. Being blocked or narrowed the tube or graft creates a way. Then blood can move in all the side of blockage space. Normally bypass surgery involves an old i.e. open incision method. Study is being done on how to do such operations through laparoscopic way.in this use much smaller incisions are used. The grafts are placed on the aorta. Also they are placed on the femoral arteries. The aorta is nothing but the important artery.it leaves the heart. It brings oxygen contained blood to the whole body.

What it is? This is the most common and successful combined procedure for weight loss surgery. In this procedure, the surgeon creates a small stomach pouch to restrict food intake. Then a Y-shaped section of the small intestine is attached to the pouch to allow food to bypass the lower stomach, the duodenum (the first segment of the small intestine), and the first portion of the jejunum (the second segment of the small intestine). This reduces the amount of calories and nutrients the body absorbs. Gastric Bypass Benefits of Gastric Bypass Effectively controls food intake thus leads to rapid weight lossControls the urge to take sweet foods It can be reversed in case of any medical emergencies but should be considered as a permanent weight loss surgery Risks associated with Gastric Bypass Leak of staple lineHemorrhageUlcersBlockage or undesired narrowing of the stomaVomiting in case food is not properly chewed or is eaten too quickly Person can re-gain weight if dietary changes are not followed for a long time.

Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) or more popularly know Heart Bypass or Bypass Surgery is a surgical procedure providing relief from chest pain that occurs when any area of the heart muscle doesn't get adequate amount of oxygen-rich blood. This surgery thus restores the customary level of the blood flow to the heart muscle (medical term 'Myocardium'). Bypass surgery or CABG is usually performed with the heart stopped, thereby entailing the use of Heart Lung Machine. Beating Bypass Heart SurgeryCoronary Bypass Surgeries are performed using contemporary techniques including the off-pump bypass. During off-pump or beating heart surgery, the heart-lung machine is not used. The surgeon uses advanced operating equipment to stabilize (hold) portions of the heart and bypass the blocked artery in a highly controlled operative environment. Meanwhile, the rest of the heart keeps pumping and circulating blood to the body. This offers patients faster post-operative recovery and extracts less of a toll on their systems.

A gastric bypass is a life changing operation. It is used to help people to lose weight and improve their health. Losing weight lowers the risk of developing medical problems associated with obesity. For example, high blood pressure, diabetes, arthritis, breathing problems and asthma. The gastric bypass makes your stomach smaller and allows food to bypass part of the small intestine. The operation will change the amount that you can eat on a permanent basis and should not be regarded as reversible. You will also need to take daily mineral; and vitamin supplements for the rest of your life. The surgery makes it easier for you to lose weight as your appetite is reduced. It does not necessarily mean that you stop wanting to eat foods that are high in calories and therefore you must take the responsibility of eating a healthy diet. The surgery is done laparoscopically, commonly known as keyhole surgery. This means that you will be up and about soon after surgery and should make a speedy recovery. Although you will have some pain after surgery this is usually not severe and easily controlled by pain killers. How does it work? The operation involves making a new smaller stomach and bypassing the first part of your small intestines. After the surgery the food will go into the new stomach and will then pass into the new route bypassing the rest of the stomach. The operation also alters some of the hormone signals from the stomach and intestine to parts of the brain that control appetite, satiety and body weight: many patients report that following this operation they feel less like eating and feel fuller sooner and for longer after a meal. As the size of your stomach has been reduced the size of your meals will need to be reduced to be appropriate for your new small stomach. Your reduced portion size combined with low fat, low sugar choices and exercise will help you to lose weight and maintain the weight lost. How much weight can you expect to lose? You can expect to lose between 55% and 85% of your excess weight in the first 12 18 months following surgery: However an excess weight loss of 100% or more is not uncommon in patients who do intensive exercising. A man who weighs 146 kg (22 st 13lbs) and is 1.85 m (6 1 ) tall has a BMI of 42 kg/m2The upper limit of the ideal BMI (25 kg/m2) would give him a weight of 85.6 kg (13 st 6lbs)70% excess weight loss = 42.3 kg. Total body weight = 103.7 kg (16 st 4lbs) BMI 30 kg/m2A 50% excess weight loss = 30.2 kg, with a weight of 115.8 kg (18 st 3lbs) (BMI 34 kg/m2)The amount of weight you are able to lose and keep off after surgery will depend also on the lifestyle changes that you make, such as increasing the amount of exercise you take and eating a healthy diet. It is important to remember that the operation will not stop from you from craving certain foods or eating what you fancy. What are the risks of a Gastric Bypass? As with all major surgery gastric bypass has some risks. These risks vary according to your age and other illnesses you may have. The risk of death within the first 30 days after surgery is estimated to occur in less than 0.5% having this operation. This number does not reflect the experience of our surgeon but it is calculated on national and international averages on the base of large multicentre databases. Other complications, listed below, happen in less than 5% of patients.Complications that can occur soon after surgeryWound infection: this can usually be treated with a course of and does not require hospital admission.

Mini gastric bypass surgery in short MGB is a laparoscopic gastric bypass surgery which is recommended for weight loss treatment. It is very similar in nature to the conventional roux-en-Y (RNY) surgery, with an exception that it has one connection with the small bowel. In comparison with RNY, mini gastric bypass surgery has a very minimal risk and the operation takes less time. MGB is a very restrictive process which impairs absorption of food nutrients through the gastrointestinal tract. With MGB, an obese patient can expect a significant loss of weight through proper dietary nutrition and regular exercise chart.

During a coronary artery bypass, the diseased sections of your coronary arteries are bypassed with healthy artery or vein grafts to increase blood flow to the heart muscle tissue. This procedure is also called coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). Bypass typically requires open-chest surgery. There are several newer, less invasive techniques for bypass surgery that can be used instead of open-chest surgery in some cases. In some procedures, the heart is slowed with medicine but is still beating during the procedure. For these types of surgery, a heart-lung bypass machine is not needed. (For open-chest surgery, a heart-lung machine is needed to circulate the blood and to add oxygen to it.) Other techniques use keyhole procedures or minimally invasive procedures instead of open-chest surgery. Keyhole procedures use several smaller openings in the chest and may or may not require a heart-lung machine. Open-chest surgery You'll receive anesthesia before the surgery that will make you sleep. In most cases, bypass surgery is open-chest surgery slideshow.gif. During the surgery, your chest will be open and your heart exposed. The surgeon makes a large cut, or incision, in the middle or side of your chest. He or she may cut through your breastbone and spread apart your rib cage. The surgeon removes a healthy blood vessel-often from the leg-and attaches (grafts) it to the narrowed or blocked artery. The new blood vessel bypasses the diseased artery to increase blood flow to the heart. You may need just one bypass graft, or you may need more. Some people have as many as two, three, or even four (double, triple, or quadruple bypass surgery). How many grafts you need depends on how many arteries are narrowed or blocked and where. When the surgery is complete, the doctor may use wire to put your rib cage back together and stitches to close the incision. The surgery can take 3 to 6 hours. You will stay in the hospital at least 3 to 8 days after the surgery. It can take 4 to 6 weeks to recover at home. Most people are able to return to work within 1 to 2 months after surgery.

Roux-en-Y gastric bypass is the current gold standard procedure for weight loss surgery. In the Roux-en-Y gastric bypass procedures, a surgeon makes a direct connection from the stomach to a lower segment of the small intestine, bypassing the duodenum, and some of the jejunum. A 15 - 60 cc proximal gastric pouch is created using several staple lines. The proximal gastric pouch is drained into a segment of the jejunum and "bypasses" the distal stomach and duodenum. The proximal part of the divided intestine is then connected to the side of the intestine that was previously attached to the pouch. The roux limb is that part of the intestine between the stomach pouch and the connection to the proximal small intestine. Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass Weight Loss Surgery BenefitsOne year after surgery, weight loss can average 65-80% of excess weightAfter 10 years, 50-60% of excess body weight loss has been maintained by some patients.Associated medical problems, such as diabetes, hypertension, sleep apnea, joint pain, and heartburn are improved or resolved in more than 90% of patients Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass Weight Loss Surgery RisksBecause the duodenum is bypassed, Poor absorption of iron, calcium, and vitamin B12 can result in deficiencies. Metabolic bone disease can also occur but all these problems can usually be prevented by vitamin and mineral supplementation but is especially important for patients who experience chronic blood loss or are prone to osteoporosis.Dumping syndrome can occur as the result of rapid emptying of stomach contents into the small intestine which usually happens if too much sugar is consumed. While generally not considered to be a serious risk to your health, the results can be extremely unpleasant and can include nausea, weakness, sweating, faintness and, on occasion, diarrhea after eating. The bypass portion of the stomach, duodenum and segments of the small intestine cannot be easily visualized using x-ray or endoscopy if problems such as ulcers, bleeding or malignancy should occur.

Before your surgery, you will get general anesthesia. You will be asleep (unconscious) and pain-free during surgery.Once you are unconscious, the heart surgeon will make an 8 to 10-inch (20.5 to 25.5 cm) surgical cut in the middle of your chest. Your breastbone will be separated to create an opening. This allows your surgeon to see your heart and aorta, the main blood vessel leading from the heart to the rest of your body. Most people who have coronary bypass surgery are connected to a heart-lung bypass machine, or bypass pump. Your heart is stopped while you are connected to this machine. This machine does the work of your heart and lungs while your heart is stopped for the surgery. The machine adds oxygen to your blood, moves blood through your body, and removes carbon dioxide. Another type of bypass surgery does not use the heart-lung bypass machine. The procedure is done while your heart is still beating. This is called off-pump coronary artery bypass, or OPCAB.

Mini Gastric Bypass surgery includes a partition of the stomach with a laparoscopic stapler. Most of the stomach is no longer attached to the esophagus and will no longer receive that food. The artificial new stomach is much smaller and has a structure like a small tube. Approx 150 to 200 cm of intestines are bypassed with the help of surgery. We will attach the remainder of the intestines to the new stomach. Food now flows into your small tube-like stomach and then bypasses between 150 to 200 cm of intestines where it resumes the normal digestive process in your remaining intestine. In addition to its great results on weight loss, the mini-gastric bypass is an excellent procedure for type 2 diabetes, even in the non-obese patients, with high remission rates.

Green Chemical Bypass or Artery Clearance Therapy

    Price On Request
The concept When we visited a chemical factory sometime back I was told when the chemicals pass through a pipe they react with the wall of the pipes and create plaque like obstructions. Ultimately the pipes get choked from inside. When I asked about the remedy the engineer in charge told me they send some opposite chemicals in the same tube and the plaques are removed. It is something like a housewife puts drainex in the kitchen drain to clear out the choked pipe. Similarly, it looks logical that something that deposited can also be removed. A mixture of biochemical (all safe for the body and in correct dosage) now has shown results of reduction of coronary blockages when passed through the body. These chemicals mainly contain chemicals like Anti-oxidants, EDTA, Vitamins, Isotonic carrier, PH balancing drugs. All of them are injected in the patient through intravenous route for a period of two and half hours to obtain softening of the blockage and a gradual reduction of blockage. The results become apparent within six to ten infusions. The dosages of the chemicals vary from person to person; and an experienced doctor has to decide which patients could be treated with this treatment. Has this therapy been proved beneficial? Though this kind of therapy is being used by a lot of practitioners abroad and in India using different kinds of chemicals it has not been promoted by the heart hospital system. The main reason being that this is not so lucrative. Though it was not so effective initially the improvement came after the chemicals used to soften the blockage and withdraw it, was changed. The results of the Biochemical Angioplasty become more effective if it is used along with Lifestyle changes (Food, Exercise, Yoga, Stress Management, Lowering of blood sugar and fats.) Why there is a string support to this therapy ? Things are improving gradually all over the world. Dr. J. Whiteker in USA showed that only anti-oxidants and very high dose of Vitamins can help in clearing the blockages. Then we experimented this particular combination and the results were there. We tried this combination with lifestyle changes and the results were much better. Their are number of cases across the Globe where the Blockages are removed up to 100%. The quantity of the medicines in this therapy depends upon the severeness of the plaque formatted. What are the advantages of this Biochemical Angioplasty? This therapy has minimal invasion involved in it. No admissions are required, It is very cost effective. For some people results comes very fast. It removes the plaque up-to 100% from the arteries. There are several other advantages of this therapy as well, because it not only removes the plaque from Coronary Arteries but also removes plaque from different other Vital Organs of Human Body.

Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB) is a type of weight-loss surgery that reduces the size of your stomach to a small pouch about the size of an egg. It does this by stapling off a section of it. This reduces the amount of food you can take in at meals. The surgeon then attaches this pouch directly to the small intestine, bypassing most of the rest of the stomach and the upper part of the small intestine. This reduces the amount of fat and calories you absorb from the foods you are able to eat for even more weight loss.
