The geometry and kinematics of these constant hangers is such that theoretically the constancy of the supporting effort can be achieved during its complete travel range. But in practice due to spring hysteresis, bearing friction, sliding friction of moving parts and manufacturing tolerances, it is impossible to maintain absolutely constant supporting effort through out the travel range. To keep this deviation, to minimum level, we take the following precautions. We use Teflon {PTFE} washers at all pivot points and all moving parts along with precision ground steel for pivot pins. We use life time lubricated anti friction bearings at the main pivot point and at pointer pin etc. thus rotating friction to minimum. All this helps us to achieve the constancy of supporting effort for "Foot Mounted" - F Type supports, additionally we use anti friction thrust bearings at the load flange Support threaded rod to facilitate easy commissioning. Supports are designed to meet the requirements of "Manufacturers Standardization Society" MSS - SP 58 69 and ANSI code for power piping B31.1 and petroleum refinery piping B31.3 and others. All parts except springs have been designed with a minimum factor of safety of 5.
