Castings are cut or broken from their runner system and cores knocked out. The ingates are cleaned up by grinding on an abrasive wheel or linishing belt. Removal of feeders and excess material from a casting is the first stage of finishing a casting,the metal removal is often achieved using manual cutting or grinding. This excess material is often formed at the dies parting lines during the cast process as molten material is injected into the die at high pressure. The method of fettling must be taken into account at the initial casting design stage so that the process is fast and efficient.After fettling the components are shot blasted to clean them.

Cutting : Stainless cutting by 2-nos of high ampere DCrectifiers. Mild steel cutting by Oxy-LPG. Heavy Grinding : 5nos of Swing grinder and 1no 5HP bench grinder. Medium grinding : 25nos of Flexibe shaft grinders. Shot Blasting : Tumble and Hanger type shotblasting machine with the capacity of 2mt.

We have shot blasting with rotating table chamber size 5m X 5m. Other tools employed are pneumatic/ electric chippers, grinders and hammers, D.C. welding rectifiers gouging sets.

We engaged in providing fettling services to our valuable customers which are designed as per the industry standards utilizing high standard material for longer durability. Fettling Service undertaken by experienced professionals which includes smoothing the rough cut gate edges either the pedestal or swing frame grinder is used depends upon the size of castings. Finishing of castings done to remove sand and various other unwanted metals such as flashings and risers. Additional services were provided like Grinding, chipping and shot blasting. Latest machinery and equipment used for cut off the runner and feeder and to grind the surplus metal and flash the casting.

Proper Fettling are done under strict technical super vision for finest surface delivery. Our Fettling shop is also equipped with shot blasting machine that is capable of handling job of 1220mm and weighing unto 1500 kg.

Fettling Services

All castings are knocked out and kept in bins near the knockout and then transferred to shot blasting area. Decoring is done in a separate area identified for the same. Good casting are sent for grinding for final inspection and dispatch. A Riser cutting machine is being added to the facility.
