Automatic Data Collection
Price On RequestKEY benefits The following main problems in pest monitoring are addressed and solved with our product: usually data (caught pests) from traps are collected on weekly basis. Such interval is often too long for taking appropriate actions in time (for example biofix could be missed). Our product is by default taking snapshots of field situation on daily basis (interval is adjustable by setting a preference on web application). With such approach we are always informed of situation in the field on time. Avoiding lots of field trips - in order to count trapped pests, traps have to be physically visited which means lots of time and fuel lost just to collect information from the orchards/fields. Many times field visits are in vain (pest have not occurred yet or there is a gap between pests generations). By taking snapshots remotely and sending images to the server where they can be viewed over web or on mobile phone, there is no need to go to the field just to monitor whether something was caught - very significant savings of time and travel costs can be achieved. Automation of pests recognition - with classic approach of regular field visits pest recognition is done by experts/trained personnel, however process of "manual" recognition/counting of pests is time consuming and wearying. Besides bookkeeping of field data and management of lots of monitoring traps can be quite a challenge which can result in substantial error rate. With eTrapAlert system snapshots are stored on server; images are processed automatically (resulting in very significant reduction of attention needed by human) and could always be checked by relevant experts - they just have to log in to the web (or mobile) application and have complete overview of the situation. Based on automatic recognition of pests experts can focus on cases which actually need their attention. Instant alerting/notifying of users - by collecting data manually, we have time delay in going to the field first, then data as to be processed and only at that point alerting can be done. Notifications/alarms are triggered automatically when image is processed (and if conditions for notification are met). Typical alarms/notifications are: eTrapAlert - automated pest early warning system pests have occurred/biofix established (biofix1, biofix2,...) there has been a significant increase of pests sticky plate is full and needs to be changed Keeping history of daily snapshots - with classic approach this is not possible. Not only that data is usually collected on too long intervals; also sticky plates are usually not changed (and stored in some appropriate storage) on every visit. Therefore possibilities to have a history record of exact situation in the field over different time periods and to learn from that data are very limited. With keeping snapshots on the server, with all needed metadata (number of pests, percentage of sticky surface covered, difference compared to previous data,...), eTrapAlert system provides excellent platform/source of data for further processing, analysis, research and better decision making based on history data.
