The U and P.U. Patel Department of Computer Engineering offers B.Tech. and M.Tech. in Computer Engineering programme. The department has strong collaboration with industries and has signed MOU with many leading industries. The graduates have found remarkable placements in prestigious national and international companies and many are pursuing their higher studies from premier institutes in India and abroad. The department has competent and devoted faculty. The computer facilities comprise laboratories of 1000+ computers and more than 20 Servers all are interconnected through fiber optic cable network.

Adapt state of the art development in the field of computer engineering. Computer engineering program commenced in 1991. Department of Computer Engineering is progressing at a rapid pace with the development in terms of infra-structure facilities, upgraded curriculum and learned faculty. Besides offering undergraduate (B. E. in Computer Engineering) it also offers Post Graduation in Computer Engineering. The department is privileged to have a highly experienced faculty. BVM Engineering College has been granted academic autonomy by UGC with effect from academic year 2015-16. With the involvement of experienced academicians, industry experts and alumni, Computer Engineering Department has designed a new curriculum to meet the current industry needs. The department has well-equipped laboratories comprising of computers with latest configuration and dedicated class rooms. The whole campus is fully networked with fiber backbone and Wi-Fi. Department organizes remedial classes for academically weak students, various expert talks and workshops on emerging technologies like PHP, Mobile Application development, Python programming, IoT, Cloud Computing, Big Data Analytics etc.Regular and rigorous mentoring of students is done by faculty members.

A bachelor s programme in Computer Engineering was started in the Academic Year 1999-2000 with an intake of 40 students. Our Current intake is 60 students.The department has given its first meritorious batch of Computer Engineering graduates in July 2003. Majority of the graduate students are well placed at Intel, Sybase etc. Many of our passed out students have pursued higher studies. The Department has excellent laboratory facilities both for teaching and research.The Department organizes workshops, seminars in various specialties, and runs summer/winter schools for the benefit of engineering college teachers and professional engineers.The Bachelor of Computer Engineering programme is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi for 3 years from 15th March 2012.Dedicated, young and well qualified faculty members are an asset to the department.
