Float Shoes

COS Float shoe supplied with plunger valve in most of the application. This design ensure positive sealing in vertical, horizontal and deviational wells. Material used for float equipment is seamless casing grade steel. Float equipment can be supplied in all grades of steel like K-55, L-80, N-80, C-95, T-95, and P110. COS's Float equipment are tested and rated in compliance with API requires specs. The material used in the valves is High polymer plastic and valve is consisting of Natural rubber coated on phenolic substance. This non metallic valve encased and held in place with the high pressure cement mixture. The design and manufacturing process of valve allow for maximum circulation rates. These are available in 2 7/8" to 30 "sizes + any special size on customer demand.

Reamer Shoe is a cylindrical steel section with an eccentric nose which guides the casing toward the that is attached to the bottom of the casing string towards the centre of the hole. It contains a check valve to permit fluid to pass downward but not upward through the casing. Reamer shoe is the single and double valve available.

Stab-in float shoe have the features of high-temperature, good sealed, drill ability and connecting easily. It is used in general technical casing and oil-string casing, also used in deep well, extra deep well and special technology well. Stab in Float shoe is designed with a taper in the top of the concrete to guide the adapter on the bottom of the inner-string into the receiver incorporated in the float shoe or collar. Stab-in float shoe belongs to inner string cementing range, it insists of shell, cement, self-motion grout valve, stab-in sub, O ring and stab-in pipe carrier. Its structure and operating principle are same to Casing float shoes, its feature: cementing in big diameter casing, through drill pipe inserts into the stab-in pipe carrier of stab-in shoe to achieve well cementing, this method can reduce wasting cement and avoid in using big diameter plugs in general cementing well, in order to achieve goal of economic and efficient. Internal parts are made of high quality material to achieve high strength and PDC drillable. The Stab-in Float Shoe are also available in Double Valve , Side and down- jet Port. A rounded profile float shoe with an integral check valve attached to the bottom of a casing string prevents reverse flow, or U-tubing, of cement slurry from the annulus into the casing or flow of wellbore fluids into the casing string as it is run. The float shoe also guides the casing toward the center of the hole to minimize hitting rock ledges or washouts as the casing is run into the wellbore. By floating casing in, hook weight is reduced. With controlled or partial fill-up as the string is run, the casing string can be floated into position, precluding the need for the rig to carry the entire weight of the casing string. The outer portions of the float shoe are made of steel and generally match the casing size and threads, although not necessarily the casing grade. The inside (including the external taper) is usually made of cement or thermoplastic, since this material must be drilled out if the well is to be deepened beyond the casing point.Guide shoes are a variant of a float shoe without a check valve.

Differential fill up shoe is provided with a differential valve. This kind of design maintains constant differential pressure between inside and outside of the casing because of entry of fluid through the bottom of the casing. It is ready to be running in hole. This type of filling action reduces running time of casing and reduces surge pressure on formations.
