This model includes Well Being and Cultural Diversity At Petals children are encouraged to celebrate different cultures helping them recognise the beauty of diversity and gain positive awareness. Personal, Social and Emotional Development We aim to provide a happy, caring, secure and supportive environment for each child where they feel wanted, valued and important. The children are encouraged to develop good relationships, positive attitude, self confidence and taught the difference between right and wrong. Communication, Language and Literacy Skills We create opportunities for children to explore the skills of conversation, reasoning, listening and answering. We encourage them to enjoy stories, songs and poems, as well as to recognise letters and the sounds that correspond to them. Mathematical Development Through structured play the children are encouraged to understand basic mathematical concepts which encompass shape, position, pattern and numeric. Science This is taught in a practical way, encouraging children's enquiring minds and developing their reasoning skills. Monthly progress report of each child is sent to his / her parents via email Field trips related to projects, such as bird watching, water harvesting etc. Events such as groundhog day,space shuttle Columbia disaster,discovery of Pluto, etc. are shown explained through power point presentations. Theme Days such as - colour day, a fruit party, tidbit cooking day, games day, arts day, crafts day, love your pet day, polar bear day, bicycle safety day, toothache day, etc. to help the child gain knowledge with a pleasurable experience. Assembly presentations- children of all classes prepare skits, do role plays, give presentations etc. in front of the entire school. This enhances their presentation skills removes stage fear.

People need to engage themselves in productive activities for which again a combination of both physical development and intellectual development. Intellectual development comes through the process of education and socialization. Social development involves developing the ability to live as the member of the society or a group they contribute to it at the same time deriving benefits from it.
